Hi Project #17 Cello friends!!

Once again it was great to be able to answer so many of your questions yesterday on our 3rd Live Hangout Practice Session! I enjoyed seeing you all and catching up, and of course, playing through part 8. Some really good questions came up, and I’d like to suggest that you all try and catch up if you can!! It’s really good to be able to get into this wonderful music with y’all.

I want to re-iterate from the previous email -

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SILLY QUESTION!!

It was great to have lots of questions to answer at the live session and also on email from new participants in GCP - We always have alot of first time participants and it’s wonderful to have you with us, and I hope we can clarify the process for you. Please do reach out for help - ask questions of me on the live sessions…I like to think of it as office hours.  If you can’t attend or have a more complex question/request, send an email or post on our facebook group - help is at hand!! Email to admin@globalcelloproject.com and the facebook group can be found here: Global Cello Project Players We are ALL still learning!!  Thats the best part about the cello!

A reminder of the project web page:

https://globalcelloproject.com/celloproject17projectpage.html

There have been a couple of updates since the last email.

THE BACKING TRACKS ARE HERE!!

The best way to get to them - and to make sure your page has refreshed properly - is to go to the home page www.globalcelloproject.com and click on the little back and white cello drawing in the top left corner of the page. The backing tracks are on that page. There are tracks featuring each part as well as a full-mix. I hope you will all take time to listen to these many times before you start to make your recording. This will help you to get the tempo changes, dynamics and to know when to come in! If you haven’t seen them yet there are also fingered parts available - please do have a look and I hope it will be useful for you! Follow your original email to access your files and you will see the fingered parts inside a new folder, right at the top of the list.  If you are unable to access the links for the sheet music or practice backing tracks, please email us at admin@globalcelloproject.com .

The sheet music ERRATA section has been fixed and is now correct - thanks to everyone who has pointed out errors. The sheet music in the folder will be updated as the errata are incorporated, so please do check to see if there are any for your part.  Let us know if you spot anything to correct!

WE ARE ALMOST READY TO RECEIVE YOUR VIDEO… upload form coming soon.

Keep practicing and keep listening!!
